Initial sketch plans The owners were looking to make use of their excellent rear garden

An aerial view of the new living area spine that connects the north facing front of the house to the leafy rear garden The interesting roof structure determined some of our decisions.

The final plan Elevations showing the altered entry and the large amount of glazing facing into the rear garden and bringing light and a view into the interior of the home. Note also the interesting extenal beam/truss to hold the roof and give a clear span to the living area.
The slab is down and the framing well advanced. Another view.

On the roof there is an innovative solution to give a clear span and remove an existing steel column. The truss bridges the living areas and holds up an existing large steel beam.
