From the front street only the garage is evident. The building is at lockup and painting commenced.
The form of the new living area takes shape. The western glassed walls are protected by a wide verandah.
The dropped down floor level to the new living area is one of the spatial features of the design. A sculptural cutout in the main ceiling to accommodate a skylight.
The new kitchen has been installed. The view down from the kitchen into the new living area.

This extension provides much needed extra living space for a young family, and deals with a tricky sloping block that slopes towards the west on an elevated block in Weston. The views are spectacular but the afternoon sun in summer is a real problem.
