Indicative sections showing sunlight penetration from the large windows at ground level and also the clerestorey windows which throwa shaft of sunlight to the back of the existing house.

Our challenge here is to turn the orientation of an existing very special house so that it gets more solar access and relates better to the garage and entry of its battleaxe block. We are proposing a double volume space with clerestorey windows to provide sunlight into the back area of the house, together with a new informal living area facing north.
