Site plan for the Development Application Plans and sections modified from the standard kit home design.

Slab preparation done and drainage is in.

Wall frames up and the roof on.

Note the flush threshold for the sliding door. The unit has to be designed to the Adaptable Housing Code and be wheelchair accessible.

Virtually externally complete, with only a verandah and a few finishing touches to go.

The main living area. Due to the Adaptable Housing Code's requirements we had to minimise hallways and other narrow circulation areas.

The kitchen and laundry area sheeted and ready for the fixout and joinery.

The kitchen design has been worked out and the joinery ordered. The front verandah is on and some fencing up.

On a battleaxe block there was just enough room to squeeze in a "granny flat" behind the existing house. A prefabricated unit from Stone Kit Homes in Sydney was used, adapted as necessary to meet ACTPLA's requirements. Almost complete.
